Thai earned-wage access firm nets $2.8m in seed round

Salary Hero, a earned-wage access startup based in Thailand, has raised US$2.8 million in seed funding from Global Founders Capital, M Venture Partners, 500 TukTuks, and others.

Co-founded by Bain Bangkok executives Jonathan Nohr and Prabhav Rakhra, Salary Hero offers workers financial assistance for unforeseen expenses between paychecks. The firm works directly with employers to provide earned-wage access and financial wellness products, including financial education.

The company is seeing week-on-week user growth in the double digits and has clients across the manufacturing, logistics, hospitality, and retail industries.

Salary Hero will use the fresh capital infusion to continue building its team to support its growing client base and expand its suite of neobanking products.

Some of the top executives in the company include Tep Neeranatpuree , former head of corporate sales at Lalamove, and Thanakij Pechprasarn, former CTO of edtech company Gantik.
